The Agents House, Bed & Breakfast

We were made to feel very welcome, thanks! The location was super, in a quiet loop off the main road. Our rooms looked out across countryside towards the river. Relaxing, with birdsong the only distraction. The rooms were lovely, comfortable, high ceilinged and light. The breakfast menu was wonderful, making choosing difficult, but everything that we selected was super. We asked about electric car charging and were delighted to find that there was a fast Instavolt charging station next door. This worked perfectly and we just needed a few minutes of charging. Overall - exceptional!

We received a warm and genuine welcome into a beautiful character property, the owners were relaxed and professional. Our room was large with large en-suite. The room decor was immaculate and very comfortable and warm on a cold and wet night. The tea and coffee selection provided was good with a pod coffee machine ( not great for the planet but convenient in the circumstances ) We had a delicious homemade evening meal. Breakfast was superb, loads of choice, delicious Avocado and poached eggs on sourdough toast, good coffee. James and Fiona did everything to make you fell welcome nothing was too much trouble. A great place to stay and explore the location around Hay on Wye.

The location is perfect for a few days in Hay on Wye with the added bonus of an excellent breakfast choice of full English or a selection of deliciously different items such as the " Frumpet" or crumpet soaked in Duck Egg laced with chilli served with crispy bacon and Maple Syrup, plus home made jams and Granola. Very welcoming hosts round off a lovely stay in this beautiful house with views of a garden or across the river.

The room was beautifully appointed and very spacious and had the most comfortable bed we have slept in for some time. The bathroom was also very large with an ample supply of hot water. The blinds and curtains in the bedroom were very effective at blocking out the light and the location meant it was very peaceful as well. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was superb.

We loved everything about our stay; Fiona & James are the perfect hosts. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated with great views and access to a balcony. The bathroom was large and luxurious with fluffy towels! The opportunity to share a drink with the other guests in the sunny rear garden was most relaxing. Short walk to local pub. Breakfast was absolutely scrumptious; just wish we could have stayed longer! Best BnB during our 5 weeks travelling the UK!
